Sabancı University School of Management Dean Nakiye Boyacıgiller moderated panel discussions held within the Women’s Empowerment Forum for Female Leadership and Sustainable Economy held by Pepsi Co and the Association of Female Entrepreneurs of Turkey (KAGİDER).

The forum was held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Four Season Bosphorus Hotel.  The opening speech by KAGİDER Chairperson Dr. Gülden Türktan was titled “The Importance of a Culture of Equality for Sustainable Economic Development: A Look into the World of Business from a Perspective of Gender Equality.”  This was followed by a welcoming speech by PepsiCo Turkey Managing Director Ece Aksel.


In the first session titled “Female Business Leadership, a Win-Win Cooperation”, PepsiCo President and CEO Indra Nooyi answered questions by Sabancı University School of Management Dean Nakiye Boyacıgiller.  Nakiye Boyacıgiller then moderated a panel discussion titled “Female Leadership – Women’s Empowerment for a Sustainable Economy”.  Participants were PepsiCo Asia-Pacific Regional Director Ümran Beba, Republican People’s Party Deputy Şafak Pavey, Eczacıbaşı Holding CEO Bülent Eczacıbaşı, actress Serra Yılmaz and PepsiCo Western Europe Regional Director Debra Crew.


The Forum concluded with a speech by PepsiCo Southeast Europe Regional Director Eugene Willemsen.
