The AI.SU Platform, created by Melisa Sabancı Tapan, a member of the Sabancı Holding Board of Directors and a member of the Sabancı University Board of Trustees, continues to address the issue of remaining human in the age of artificial intelligence through the lens of different disciplines. In the platform's new episode, Melisa Sabancı Tapan's guest was Cem Şen, a Taoism researcher, author, and educator.

The episode, which invited viewers to rethink artificial intelligence at the intersection of technology, consciousness, ethics, and ancient teachings, addressed the question of how the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies is redefining the human mind and the experience of being human. Throughout the program, the question of to what extent the human mind could truly be understood before developing artificial intelligence was at the center of the discussion.

The Relationship Between Consciousness and Machines

One of the prominent topics in AI.SU's new episode was the question of whether a machine can develop consciousness. The question of whether consciousness, awareness, and senses, which are among the fundamental elements of human experience, can be explained through algorithms was evaluated from different perspectives.

Free Will, Senses, and Awareness

In the program, which featured Taoism researcher, author, and educator Cem Şen as a guest, the question of to what extent concepts such as free will, senses, and awareness can be represented by artificial intelligence systems was also addressed. It was emphasized that technological developments should be evaluated not only from an engineering and computer science perspective but also from philosophical and ethical dimensions.

Will Artificial Intelligence Isolate People?

Another topic discussed in the new episode of AI.SU was the effects of artificial intelligence on human relationships. The question of whether artificial intelligence will be a tool that isolates people or will offer new opportunities to help establish deeper connections was examined from different angles.

AI.SU continues to bring together names from different disciplines to discuss the social, ethical, and human dimensions of artificial intelligence.
