Books Keep Reading One Another in the Human Library!

Organized by Civic Involvement Projects, the second edition of "Human Library: The Books that Read" was held on June 25, 2025, at Sabancı University’s Altunizade Digital Campus, with the aim of creating a dialogue space among individuals who had previously participated as "books" in the Human Library.

First launched in 2024, this special format adds a new dimension to the Human Library model by allowing former "books" to read each other, share their experiences, and engage in meaningful dialogue.

This year, participants once again came together with diverse identities, life stories, and perspectives. Among the "books" were a gay person’s mother, a little person, an oncology mother, a person with cerebral palsy, the daughter of an Alzheimer’s patient, an Alzheimer’s nurse, a moto courier, a homeless man, and an individual with Tourette syndrome.

The event provided a powerful platform to strengthen social empathy, challenge prejudices, and deepen mutual understanding.
