To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic, Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum is pleased to offer free entry to the museum, as well as the exhibition Turkish Painting: In the Pursuit of Modernism on Saturday, October 28th, and Sunday, October 29th.
Turkish Painting: In the Pursuit of Modernism showcases the generation of artists nurtured by the Republic and the artworks that flourished within its newly liberated cultural atmosphere. The exhibition chronologically follows the process of modernization from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey.
