This year, Ghost Student Program, carried out in collaboration with the Foundations Development Directorate (FDD) and the Student Resources (SR), held its first session of the 2026-2027 academic year on October 5, 2026.

Forty-three students from Burak Bora Anatolian High School, Kabataş Erkek High School and Sakıp Sabancı Anatolian High School began their day by attending SPS102: Humanity and Society II lecture, and then met with the instructors of the Foundations Development Program. In the second part of the event, Foundations Development Director Emre Erol gave an informative presentation on the structure of the core curriculum, what sets this approach apart from other teaching models and what is offered to students. Following this presentation, the course instructors thoroughly introduced the University Courses. The introductory session attracted Ghost Students and was enriched by a lively Q&A session.

Running since the 2024-2025  academic year, Ghost Student Program welcomes students from well-established high schools across Istanbul and Türkiye to Sabancı University campus. Through this program, Ghost Students attend first-year University Courses and UC Talks ( University Courses Talks) as well as introductory sessions organized especially for them, gaining first-hand experience of the privilege of being a Sabancı University student.

Foundations Development Directorate extends gratitude to all faculty and administrative staff who contribute to the Foundations Development Program and who helped Ghost Student Program to kick off a productive start, and to the Sabancı University Student Resources for their dedicated support at every stage of the program.

We look forward to welcoming more Ghost Students to the campus in the upcoming sessions.
