IMIS (International Management and Industrial Engineering Summit), organized annually by the Industrial Engineering Society (IES), one of the student clubs of Sabancı University, took place at the Sabancı Performing Arts Center on 9-10 March 2024.
IMIS (International Management and Industrial Engineering Summit), organized for the 17th time this year by the Industrial Engineering Society (IES), one of the Sabancı University student clubs, was held on March 9-10, 2024, with the participation of hundreds of students from dozens of universities. At the event held at Sabancı Performing Arts Center, this year with the theme of "Harmony", managers, experts, and prominent members of the business world shared their ideas with the participants about internal, individual, and social harmony in a changing, developing and challenging world.
On the first day of the event, Sabancı University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Dean Erkay Savaş, Microsoft Deputy General Manager Duygu Ateş, Borusan Otomotiv Executive Board Member Responsible for Digital Transformation Gökhan Yoluaçık, L'Oréal Division General Manager Mehmet Volkan Yıldız, Softtech Deputy General Manager Ömer Kul, and Youthall CEO Emre Aykan were the speakers. In addition, in the first part of the "Future Trends in Marketing" panel held on the first day, Serhat Demir, General Manager of the leading marketing agency TEM Agency, and Cem Başak, the founder of the Youtube channel Before Going to the Movies were the speakers. Famous influencers Cansu Değery, Dilara Aydın and Melis İşiten were on stage in the second part.
On the second day of IMIS, the event started with the opening speech of the club students and continued with IMIS'24 Main Sponsor Garanti BBVA’s Talent & Culture Executive Vice President Tuba Köseoğlu Okçu. Then, IMIS'24 Gold Sponsor Anadolu Sigorta CIO Korhan Kuyu, Google Turkey Head of Marketing Serkan Girgin, Turkey's favorite alternative rock band Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut, Sabancı University President Yusuf Leblebici, Kahve Dünyası Head of IT Fatih Özengin, P&G Europe Marketing Technology Director Ekin Özen, and Unilever Head of Food Services – Ice Cream Yiğit Taşkın took the stage. Additionally, Vestel Head of Cloud Systems: Big Data & AI Anıl Gürbüz, Commencis CIO Duru Kızılkayak, and ShiftDelete.net founder and Youtuber Hakkı Alkan took part in the "The Game Changer: AI" panel held on the second day.
At IMIS'24 Harmony, in which more than 800 students participated, test drives and workshops were held in a large foyer area, as well as sessions with famous speakers. Products of product sponsors Çaykur, Züber, Knorr, Clear, Elidor, Dove, Nescafé, and many other brands were distributed free of charge to the participants in the foyer area. Gifts and discount codes from the gift and raffle sponsors Kiehl's, Nazer Otomotiv, Youthall, ShopiGo, and TopTalent were distributed. At the event, where Matter Suadiye and Pizza Bulls opened a stand in the foyer area for 2 days, free test drives of 6 different electric cars took place over 2 days thanks to Nazer Otomotiv. At our event, where FOKUS, one of our school's student clubs, took professional LinkedIn photos, participants were able to obtain a range of information about careers and get to know the clubs at the stands opened in cooperation with the SuModa and SUAK student clubs.

In addition to media sponsors, Oxford Education also supported the event as an education sponsor. In addition to IES, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality distributed gift packages containing various specially created products to the participants.
