SUNUM Researcher Hayriye Ünal's coordinated project, titled “Bio-based Antimicrobial Packaging Materials to Increase the Shelf Life of Naturally Fermented Low-Salt Table Olives (OLIVEPACK)” has been supported under the PRIMA Section 2 Program. The project will focus on innovative, circular economy-oriented bio-based antimicrobial food packaging material that is specifically tailored to increase the shelf life of table olive, a food product that is of high economic importance for the Mediterranean region.
The consortium led by SUNUM includes partners from Spain, Portugal, Tunisia, and Turkiye.
