New Erasmus+ Exchange Agreement: Politecnico di Torino, Italy

The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Sabancı University has signed an Erasmus+ student and faculty exchange agreement with Politecnico di Torino, one of Europe's leading universities ranked among the top 250 in the world and 52nd in Engineering and Technology.

Politecnico di Torino, established in the mid-19th century during a wave of technical and scientific innovation that led to the emergence of Europe’s most prestigious technical schools, was the first Italian Engineering School. The university is renowned for its innovative educational programs, advanced research projects, and industrial collaborations.

This agreement will provide Sabancı University students and faculty members with educational and research opportunities at Politecnico di Torino, allowing them to gain international experience. Likewise, students and faculty members from Politecnico di Torino will have the chance to participate in Sabancı University's dynamic and multicultural environment.

Professor Berrin Yanıkoğlu and Professor Yücel Saygın played a crucial role in finalizing this agreement during their visit to Politecnico di Torino from July 22-24, where they explored academic and research collaboration opportunities in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. Detailed discussions were held, and consensus was reached on future joint projects.

This collaboration, which significantly contributes to Sabancı University's internationalization strategy, will create new opportunities for both institutions. Our students and faculty will gain valuable experiences at Politecnico di Torino, one of Europe's most prestigious technical universities, through this agreement.
