Professor Sadık Esener, a globally-recognized expert on cancer research, spoke on "Innovation at the Nanoscale: Opportunities and Challenges"

Sabancı University hosted a conference on "Innovation at the Nanoscale: Opportunities and Challenges".  

The lecture by Professor Sadık Esener, one of the leading global experts on cancer research, took place on Monday, March 21 at the Sakıp Sabancı Museum - the Seed.  

-Information Technologies Non Thesis Program: This program creates an opportunity towards a career in the IT area for newly graduates and those professionals planning a major change in their career track. The curriculum has a rich enough spectrum that's suitable for IT professionals as well who would like to improve their skills and broaden their expertise in the area.

Komatsu donated various species of the Sakura to Sabancı University between 2007 and 2009. The extremely delicate saplings required great effort to nurture, as a result of which 1440 trees developed healthily. Although the exact time may vary by year, the Sakuras on campus bloom sometime between the end of March and beginning of April, much like those in Kyoto, Japan. The Sabancı University campus has Turkey's largest Sakura collection. 

The cooperation agreement signed between Sabancı University and the Insurance Information and Monitoring Center (SBM) includes the implementation of the "Big Data Analytics to Detect Insurance Fraud" Project. The signing ceremony for the cooperation, which will be implemented within the Sabancı University Big Data Behavioral Analysis and Visualization Laboratory, took place on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Karaköy Minerva Palas with the attendance of Sabancı University President Professor A.

Sabancı University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences member Murat Germen’s work is on exhibition at the Toronto Aga Khan Museum in Canada. The "A City Transformed: Images of Istanbul Then and Now" exhibition will be available for viewing until June 26, 2016.

Sabancı University established the "Center of Excellence in Finance" (CEF) with the founding sponsorship of Akbank for achieving excellence in finance. A film made by Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design faculty member Yoong Wah Alex Wong and his students won the "Royal Reel" for Animated Films in the 2016 Canada International Film Festival.
