Sabancı University hosted a full-day NMR Workshop on September 10th, held in collaboration with EFSUN – the Center of Excellence for Functional Surfaces and Interfaces, Oxford Instruments, and Tekafos Technological Systems.

An Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Workshop was held on September 11th with the participation of Sabancı University academics and employees of Sabancı Holding companies.

As Sabancı University celebrates its 25th anniversary, it revisits its roots and the story of its founding. This special feature is compiled from the book "Founding a University," written by Güler Sabancı, Chair of the Sabancı University Board of Trustees, which provides anecdotal accounts of our university's founding, vision, and development journey.

The Open Space Workshop held at Sabancı University turned into a productive gathering thanks to the contributions of academics and administrative staff.

Dr. Fatma Coşkuner, Head of Education and Learning Programmes at The Sakıp Sabancı Museum, has contributed an article entitled “Meditating on Aivazovsky’s Black Sea: Representing Russian Imperial Expansion” to the edited volume The Routledge Companion to Art and the Formation of Empire, published by Routledge.

Sabancı University, with support from the enCRYPTON project funded by the European Union under the coordination of Erkay Savaş, successfully hosted the 6th International Workshop on Lightweight Cryptography for Security & Privacy (LightSEC 2025). The workshop took place on September 1–2, 2025 at the Conrad İstanbul Bosphorus in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, Türkiye, and was chaired by Erkay Savaş (Sabanci University), Amir Moradi (Technical University of Darmstadt) and Gregor Leander (Ruhr University Bochum).

The Discover Yourself Project took place between September 1–5, 2025, at the Sabancı University Ayvalık Küçükköy Creative Technologies Workshop with volunteer students from Sabancı University.

The seventh annual Best Paper Competition, organized by the Center of Excellence for Functional Surfaces and Interfaces (EFSUN) at Sabancı University, was held online on August 19, 2025, with a strong participation from young scientists at national and international levels, and was moderated by Prof. Dr. Emre Erdem.
