Organized by the Sabancı University Young Entrepreneurs Club, the “Entrepreneurship and Innovation Summit ‘13” will feature a number of successful entrepreneurs.

The event at the Sabancı University campus in Tuzla will begin on Saturday, April 27 with a lecture by Inovent General Manager Ömer Hızıroğlu.  This will be followed by a Mobile Enterprise Panel with speakers Pozitron Founder Fatih İşbecer, Mobile Marketing Association - Country Manager & Focus Communication Managing Partner Kerem Kapancı and Dijital Büro İstanbul Founder – Zap Medya Founding Partner Uğur Şeker.

Held by the Civic Involvement Projects since 2000, the “Discover Yourself” projects for this summer will take place in the provinces of Kahramanmaraş and Manisa.

Sabancı University Gender and Women’s Studies Forum, in association with the Sabancı Foundation, initiated a series of gender education sessions for high school teachers in 11 provinces as part of the UN Joint Program on Promoting the Human Rights of Women (UNJP).

Joan W. Scott visits Istanbul for a lecture

Feminist historian and author of the book The Fantasy of Feminist History, Princeton University professor Joan Wallach Scott is in Turkey for a series of lectures organized by Kültür ve Siyasette Feminist Yaklaşımlar magazine to commemorate the publishing of the Turkish edition of The Fantasy of Feminist History.  Scott’s first lecture was at Boğaziçi University on Wednesday, April 17.

“Sabancı Entrepreneurship Summit I” took place in Adana

Sabancı University MBA Club began the Entrepreneurship Seminars series to propagate the nationwide expansion of the entrepreneurial vision.  Held in the name of Sakıp Sabancı, one of Turkey’s leading entrepreneurs, the series kicked off in Adana on April 11, 2013 in partnership with the Çukurova University Synergy Club.
