The Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) at Sabancı University in partnership with the Europaeische Akademie Berlin (EAP) is starting a new dialogue project supported by the Robert-Bosch Foundation.

Winners of the Mevhibe Ateş Undergraduate Graphic Design Poster Contest held by the Sabancı University FASS received their awards yesterday.

This year’s theme was Freedom of Faith, and winners received their prizes from President Nihat Berker, Dean of FASS Mehmet Baç, and Mevhibe Ateş.

Held for the first time this year, the “Civic Involvement Projects for Employees” are open to all employees of Sabancı University, and received support from 60 Sabancı University employees for 6 projects since October.

It is often said that Cracow Academy of Arts is an enclave of traditional form, one of the last bastions of classical art in central Europe. Is it even possible to be classical and young at the same time? As a young artists we take as a duty not to agree with everything they teach us. Do not take us wrong- we are not a rebelled, sometimes we are just suspicious. We have our right to question the spirit of our academy. This is how our work is created. Some people say it is immature, other say it is pure.

Sabancı University’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is proud to announce the first Graduate Student Essay Competition honoring Mevhibe Ateş.  The general aim of the competition is to promote academic research and discussion on democracy and human rights.

Sabancı University Founding President Professor Tosun Terzioğlu and Istanbul Policy Center Founding Director Professor Üstün Ergüder were given the “Emeritus Professor” title.  Attending the ceremony at Sabancı University were Board of Trustees Chair Güler Sabancı, Board of Trustees members, President Professor Nihat Berker, faculty members, students and employees.
