Our university's frisbee team once again came out on top in the Interuniversity Turkish Frisbee Championship held on Boğaziçi University Anadolu Hisarı Campus on May 23-24. With this year's championship, our team achieved the success of becoming the Turkish champion for the 4th time in a row!
In the championship, where a total of 9 university teams participated, our students advanced to the finals by winning all 6 matches they played throughout the tournament by a wide margin. Our team, which drew attention with the powerful play they put on the field from the group stage onwards, dominated their opponents both in offense and defense.
Our team, which faced Istanbul Technical University (Frizbi Teknik) in the final, maintained its superiority without compromising on game discipline in a very competitive match, and won the final, becoming the champion of Turkey once again.
However, the success did not end there. Our team also won one of the most prestigious awards of the tournament, the Spirit of the Game Award. This award is given to teams that are not only successful but also respectful, gentlemanly, and adopt a game approach that respects the rules. In other words, our students were awarded for being both the best and the fairest team.
