Our graduate Ece Kamar will talk about Phase Transition in Artificial Intelligence

Our university welcomes our graduate, Ece Kamar, a Partner Research Area Manager and Deputy Laboratory Director at Microsoft Research.

Ece Kamar, who graduated from the Sabancı University Computer Science and Engineering Program in 2005, carries out important studies in the field of artificial intelligence at Microsoft.

Ece Kamar will make a presentation entitled “Phase Transition in Artificial Intelligence” at an event to be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, by the President’s Office of Sabancı University.

Ece Kamar, who focused on models and algorithms for effective human-computer teamwork in her dissertation at Harvard, is currently a senior researcher in the Adaptive Systems and Interaction group at Microsoft Research in Redmond.

Ece Kamar is also the Technical Advisor of Microsoft's company-wide committee on AI, Ethics and Effects in Engineering and Research (AETHER), as well as teaching artificial intelligence as an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington.

Ece Kamar received her PhD in Computer Science from Harvard University after receiving a Computer Science and Engineering BS degree from Sabancı University. She has been awarded the Robert L. Wallace Prize Fellowship at Harvard and the Microsoft Research Graduate Research Fellowship.
