Sabancı University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Faculty Member Alhun Aydın’s article has been accepted by “Physical Review Letters” one of the most prestigious journals in the field of physics.
Selected as Editor”s Suggestion, the article is now among a selection of few, groundbreaking studies.
Our Faculty Member Alhun Aydın said the following about the article: “We have recently developed a new framework, which we've termed 'Quantum Acoustics,' to address the complex interactions between electrons and lattice vibrations. In this work published in Physical Review Letters and highlighted by the Editor, we use our innovative, nonperturbative approach and explain the longstanding mystery surrounding the shifted Drude peak in the optical conductivity of strange metals. Our novel framework also holds promise for unraveling other persistent mysteries in the field of quantum materials.”
