The “Business Analytics Workshop 2024” organized by Sabancı Business School every two years was held on November 29, 2024, at the Sabancı University Performing Arts Center.
The event was held with the main sponsorship of Kariyer.net and the support of Sabancı University Internal Activity Fund and Sabancı University Professional Graduate Programs Directorate. Business analytics and artificial intelligence applications were discussed at the event where professionals from Turkey's leading companies, global leaders, and academics came together.
The opening speeches were made by Sabancı Business School Dean Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Toker and Business Analytics Master's Program Director Prof. Dr. Enes Eryarsoy. Then, Karaca International General Manager Ömer Barbaros Yiş opened the event with a keynote speech entitled “Human-Centric Transformation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”.
The event addressed topics such as the effects of artificial intelligence on user and group behaviors in selection processes, artificial intelligence applications in the finance sector, innovative technologies in education, and productive artificial intelligence applications in the automotive sector. Sabancı University Assistant Professor Onur Varol, Minerva University Professor Özgür Özlük, Türkiye İş Bankası Artificial Intelligence Manager Cihan Altay, and Ford Otosan executives İlknur Köksal Bektaş and Orkun Mehmet Kılıçlıoğlu contributed to the event with their presentations.
In the last session of the day, Sabancı University Associate Professor Ezgi Akpınar addressed the impact of emotional content and context on social media. Kariyer.net Technology and Innovation Deputy General Manager Ömer Faruk Çelebi explained the transformative impact of data science and large language models on recruitment processes. Business Analytics Workshop 2024 brought together the academy and the business world, creating an important knowledge-sharing platform in the field of business analytics.
