Sabancı Foundation Turkey’s Changemakers Program Sabancı University Special Award Winner is Murat Kefeli with his körüz.biz project!
Sabancı University Civic Involvement Projects course aims to make university students aware of the society they live in through active citizenship. In accordance with this purpose, Sabancı University Civic Involvement Projects and Sabancı Foundation have been collaborating specifically for Turkey's Changemakers Program. With this collaboration, one of the Changemakers selected for the Sabancı Foundation Changemakers Program receives the Sabancı University Special Award every year, with the votes of socially conscious Sabancı University students.
This year, the winner of this award is Murat Kefeli, one of the 14th Season Changemakers, with his Körüz.Biz project. The contents on the Körüz.Biz site are designed inspired by the ideas that arise when visually impaired people talk to each other and the areas they need. Körüz.Biz website aims to support independent blind life by sharing blind experiences.
Murat Kefeli conveyed his message of thanks for the Sabancı University Special Award as follows:
“We succeeded in the voting held within the university. I would like to thank all my friends who participated in Sabancı University Civic Involvement Projects and also contributed to the voting, both on behalf of myself and the other Changemakers in the season!”
