Sabancı University is organizing "Promotion Days" for the Higher Education Institutions Exam (2025-YKS) application period from July 21st to August 8th, 2025. During these events, held on the Sabancı University Tuzla Campus, prospective students and their families receive detailed information about the university and have the opportunity to meet with faculty members, students, and alumni.
Sabancı University is hosting prospective students and their families on the Tuzla Campus during the 2025 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) application period. These "Promotion Days," held from July 21st to August 8th, 2025, offer prospective students the opportunity to get to know Sabancı University and receive direct answers to all their questions. During these days, events with different topics and guests are held daily at the Sabancı University Performing Arts Center (SGM). Sabancı University President Prof. Dr. Yusuf Leblebici, along with faculty deans, faculty members, students, and alumni, provides prospective students with information about the university's unique educational model and diverse opportunities through various events and presentations. After the presentations, prospective students and their families can ask President Yusuf Leblebici any questions they may have.
All prospective students visiting Sabancı University have the opportunity to learn detailed information about the faculties and departments directly from the presentations of the faculty deans and faculty members. Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Erkay Savaş, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Meltem Müftüler-Baç, and Sabancı Business School Dean Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Toker give presentations introducing their respective faculties on various days. Campus tours, foyer meetings, and scholarship information sessions are also held for prospective students and their families during the Promotion Days.
President Leblebici: "We admit 15% of our students from the top 1,000 and 50% from the top 20,000."
President Prof. Dr. Yusuf Leblebici stated that Sabancı University, celebrating its 25th anniversary, continues to represent Turkey at the highest levels in world rankings as an internationally competitive research university. President Leblebici emphasized that the success rankings of new students at Sabancı University are rising every year, saying, "It gives us great pleasure and pride to see the most successful students from all corners of Turkey at Sabancı University every year. Last year, 15% of the students enrolled at our university were ranked in the top 1,000, and half were ranked in the top 20,000. Over the last five years, we have more than doubled the number of students we admitted from the top 1,000. The fact that our female student ratio has exceeded 40% this year gives us particular pride. Our Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and Business School continue to admit students with the highest minimum scores in the country in the ‘full scholarship’ category. Among all universities in Turkey, we have by far the highest number of Computer Engineering graduates annually. I am proud to emphasize that we are the only university in our country that achieves this without imposing quota limits on any of our undergraduate programs.”
President Leblebici emphasized that 97% of Sabancı University graduates enter the workforce in their preferred sectors immediately after receiving their diplomas or continue their postgraduate studies at the university and country of their choice. He said, “Today, our graduates continue their successful work abroad, in various countries around the world, at leading universities, institutes, companies, and organizations. We are proud of our graduates who, after graduating from Sabancı University, have established their own businesses, achieved global success, and are at the forefront of the world of science and art.”
Turkey's first and only university offering true program choice
One of the distinguishing features of Sabancı University is its unique learning system. As Turkey's first and only university offering true program choice, students at Sabancı University are enrolled in one of the faculties of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Arts and Social Sciences, or Business School upon completion of the YKS exam. In the first year of education, a common Foundations Development Program is offered, consisting of interdisciplinary courses spanning a wide range of fields, from mathematics and the natural sciences to social sciences and algorithmic thinking and coding. Students who complete their first year can freely choose one of Sabancı University's 12 undergraduate degree programs by the end of their second year. This allows students to more consciously determine their desired field of study based on the courses they take, their interactions with faculty and other students, and their observations of the work being done at the university.
