As a member of the SAHA aggregation, Sabancı University participated in SAHA Expo Virtual Fair, which can be visited between 9 November 2020 and 9 April 2021 free of charge, to showcase its existing applications and infrastructure in the defense and aerospace industries, to introduce its R&D activities to stakeholders in the eco-system, and to establish new partnerships.
Aiming to form a bridge between the academia and the industry with the latest technologies and solutions that it offers and to establish partnerships with actors in the aerospace, defense, automotive, rail system, and maritime in particular, Sabancı University is at SAHA EXPO Virtual Fair with its Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM) and Integrated Manufacturing Center (SU IMC).
At the virtual fair, participants visited the stands of Sabancı University’s centers and had the opportunity to learn about Sabancı University’s publications, patents, technologies in thematic fields, and research centers and to experience its research infrastructure through 3D videos. Recent developments in the field of robotic composite material production technologies and digital additive manufacturing technologies were showcased to visitors. Visitors learned about the online sales channel “SUNUM E-Store” which offers solutions based on customer demands in addition to standard products and the “Co-Sunum Platform” which exhibits the richness of nanotechnology ecosystem and offers infrastructure, competence, products, technologies, and services on an open source platform at national and international level. In addition, meetings were held with several domestic and international companies of the industry and ideas were exchanged on potential collaborations.
