Times Higher Education (THE) has announced the first-ever THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025. Sabancı University ranked 64th among 749 world universities with its interdisciplinary scientific approach, and 2nd among 45 universities from Turkey included in the ranking.
THE (Times Higher Education), a UK-based higher education ranking organization, announced the THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025 (ISR), conducted in collaboration with Schmidt Science Fellows and created for the first time this year. Interdisciplinary studies carried out in four scientific fields, namely Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Life Sciences, were taken into account in the ranking. The performance of the universities included in the ranking was measured with a total of 11 indicators in three dimensions including Inputs, Process, and Outputs.
Our university ranked 64th among 749 world universities in THE Interdisciplinary Science Ranking 2025, and 2nd among 45 universities from Turkey. Sabancı University became one of the two Turkish universities that achieved the highest ranking in the first-ever ISR with its interdisciplinary studies that include multiple scientific fields and subfields. Turkey, on the other hand, was included in the ranking with the highest number of universities after India, with a total of 45 universities.
