Dr. Omid Moradi, a researcher at Sabancı University’s Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS), is taking part as a foreign researcher in the project “Investigation of the Synergy between Hydrophobic Nanostructured Coatings and the Leidenfrost Phenomenon for Friction Reduction” (Project No. MPK-69), which is being carried out at the Lithuanian Energy Institute.

The project is co-funded by the European Union under the “My First Research Team” (MPK) programme (No. 10-092-P-0001). It is based on a joint activity agreement between the Lithuanian Energy Institute and the Research Council of Lithuania. The project is led by Dr. Lina Vorotinskienė, Senior Researcher at the Lithuanian Energy Institute.

The collaboration strengthens Sabancı University’s international research links in surface engineering and thermal sciences. It also reflects the University’s commitment to European research networks and interdisciplinary scientific cooperation.
