During the "Admissions and Information Days," which will continue until August 7, 2026, prospective students are offered the opportunity to experience Sabancı University's campus life and the multifaceted development opportunities it offers, in addition to learning about the academic programs. Prospective students and their families will gain comprehensive information about the university's unique educational model, interdisciplinary approach, research opportunities, scholarship opportunities, and student life. "Our students decide for themselves which degree program they will choose."

Meeting with prospective students within the scope of "Admissions and Information Days," Sabancı University President Prof. Dr. Yusuf Leblebici stated that Sabancı University is a quality-oriented research university with approximately 4,000 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students. Leblebici stated, “At Sabancı University, our students have until the end of their second year to decide which degree program they will pursue. All students who enter the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences with a quantitative score, or the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences or Sabancı Business School with an equal weight score, spend their first year together, taking common courses that we call "foundations development" courses. This fundamental foundation and accumulation of knowledge enables our students to make informed choices in selecting their degree programs. In this regard, we grant our students the widest freedom within the framework of higher education legislation: A student who entered the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences with a quantitative score can later choose psychology, economics, or management sciences as a degree program. Similarly, a student who entered with an equal weight score can choose to study computer engineering or biology after the foundations development year. We are proud to be the only university in Türkiye that has perfectly implemented this system since our establishment. During their first year here, our students have the opportunity to get to know different disciplines and academics, and have the chance to make an informed choice. In addition, they can also benefit from our comprehensive minor and double major programs.”

32% of Graduates Work or Study Abroad

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Leblebici stated that 83 new undergraduate courses have been opened at Sabancı University in the last 3 years, adding, “Among these, the most up-to-date technology fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, and quantum programming, as well as energy technologies and sustainability fields, stand out. Furthermore, courses in these focus areas are offered intensively not just in one faculty, but in all our faculties. Of the 55 faculty members who joined us in the last 3 years, 76% hold PhDs from prestigious universities abroad, and 70% are academics who came directly from abroad. Our academics receive many academic awards every year for their achievements.” Highlighting that 32% of Sabancı University graduates work or study abroad, Yusuf Leblebici stated, “Our graduates continue their master's or doctoral studies abroad or work in the world's leading companies. Many of our graduates work at giant companies like Amazon, Google, Meta, Apple, and Microsoft. Recently, the number of our graduates going to Asia has also been increasing. We continue to develop our relationships with Asian universities very well.”

“We have strong ties with universities in Asia and America as well as Europe”

We are also part of the Venice International University (VIU) consortium in Venice. Within this framework, our students and faculty members have the opportunity to teach classes with students and academics from the consortium member universities.” Professor Dr. Yusuf Leblebici, mentioning that students gain experience in the world's leading companies thanks to the university's mandatory and voluntary internship programs, said, "Our internship satisfaction rate is very high both domestically and internationally. The rate of our graduating students who have gained international experience through exchange programs and internships is 38%."
