Serkan Taycan (VACD-MA) nominated as semi-finalist in Full Art Prize

Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Visual Arts & Visual Communication Design graduate student Serkan Taycan nominated as the semi-finalists of the first contemporary art prize of Turkey, FULL Art Prize.

Selected from amongst nearly 300 applications, the award of 25 thousand TL that will be presented to the winner will be announced at the award ceremony on October 3rd  at the opening of the exhibition.

Jury members are; member of AICA and Editor in Chief of ArtUnlimited Culture Newspaper Evrim Altuğ, artist Gülsün Karamustafa, SALT Director of Research and Programs Vasıf Kortun, IKSV Director of Istanbul Biennial Bige Örer, CEO of Borusan Holding Company Agah Uğur and CEO of AR Group of Companies Hüseyin Arslan.

The works of the 13 semi-finalists selected by the jury members, will be presented for a public vote through the website and the winner of the public vote will also be awarded a 5 thousand TL support prize. Full Art Prize aims that the artists selected through a democratic and transparent application procedure with the votes of an independent jury consisting of members that will be changed annually, would each contribute to the making of the art of the future.

2012 Full Art Prize semi-finalist artists: Alper Aydın, Aslı Çavuşoğlu, Burak Delier, Elmas Deniz, Işıl Eğrikavuk, Özgür Erkök, Mehmet Fahracı, Zeren Göktan, Borga Kantürk, Tayfun Serttaş, Serkan Taycan, Cengiz Tekin, Gözde Türkkan.
