Kadınların Elinden started with a grant of 100,000 TL from the SU ASSET project support program for Sabancı University undergraduate and graduate students and their innovative projects, and is on an investment tour after having become the largest platform for woman producers in two years. Due to Covid-19, Kadınların Elinden only recently received the investments that were expected in March, and was valued at 13.5 million TL. Born on the Sabancı University campus, the initiative now represents woman producers all over Turkey while offering natural product lines.

Kadınların Elinden helps women's cooperatives and their members across Anatolia to market the natural products they make to individual and corporate customers, and works with over 300 women for over 100 corporate partnerships made to date. The initiative has strategic partnerships with Axa Sigorta, Milliyet, Getir and PGM, and implements long-term NGO projects with corporations.

The founders state that they will strive to increase the number of women's cooperatives they represent in order to financially empower more women, grow their team to reach new markets, and improve their technological infrastructure.

Sabancı University Industrial Engineering program student Mustafa Alp Dumrul spoke about their initiative and the support they received from Sabancı University on HaberTürk.
