Success of M.S. Mechatronics Engineering Graduate Alihan Kaya...

The journal article of title " High mass flux flow boiling and critical heat flux in microscale " of Sabancı University M.S. Mechatronics Engineering graduate Alihan Kaya, which was co-authored by the Faculty Member of Mechatronics Engineering Program Dr. Ali Koşar and his research mate Mehmed Rafet Ozdemir, was recently published in International Journal of Thermal Sciences, one of the most prestigious journals in Thermal Sciences field.   This article attracted much attention of Energy Technologies community so that it was selected to the Key Scientific Featured Articles List of this week in the website of Renewable Energy Global Innovations, which alerts the scientific community to breaking journal articles considered to be of importance to the progress in energy technologies, among peer reviewed and published scientific papers in more than 5000 journals.  In this study, flow boiling critical heat flux was investigated at high mass fluxes in microchannels for forcing the conventional heat removal limits via flow boiling in microchannels. It was also found that ultra high heat removal rates  (more than 30,000 W from 1 cm2) never achieved in the literature could be obtained with flow boiling in microchannels, and critical heat flux mechanisms in microscale were discussed in detail.

Renewable Energy Global Innovations Website, one of the most popular websites in Energy Technologies field, is being viewed almost 300,000 times on average each month. Renewable Energy Global Innovations Website and key scientific articles of this week can be reached from below:
