About Dr. Evangelia Founta

Dr Evangelia Founta is a Research Fellow in the Flexible Nanoelectronics Lab at the School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, UK. She earned her PhD in Electrochemistry from the University of Southampton in 2025, where she worked on flexible batteries based on biopolymer nanomaterials. She has also been a visiting researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and at the Schoetz Electrochemistry Laboratory at the City College of New York, USA.

She holds an MSc in Inorganic Chemistry and Nanomaterials from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Ioannina, Greece. Her expertise lies in applying electrochemistry and materials chemistry to flexible electronics, with a particular focus on redox-based molecular memory devices.

TEAM-NANO aims to modernize the devices and technological capabilities in SUNUM's clean room infrastructure in collaboration with The University of Southampton (UK) and Delft University of Technology (Netherlands). In this context, TEAM-NANO aims to increase our country's international competitive power in the field of science and technology and to take a leading role in next-generation flexible electronic systems and micro-nanofabrication processes.
