IPC was the only institution from Türkiye to sign the Belém Declaration on Global Green Industrialization at the end of last year in order to participate in this initiative. The Declaration was opened for signature at the ministerial session held under the UNFCCC COP30 in Brazil last year.
Signed by 40 countries and international organizations, including Türkiye, the Declaration aims to strengthen multi-stakeholder cooperation, increase financing and technology support, establish common criteria for green industrial policies, and develop common standards for global trade in green products.
The first meeting of the signatory parties will be held in Vienna on April 8, 2026, hosted by UNIDO. Dursun Baş from the IPM Climate Change Program will attend the meeting. The text of the Declaration and the list of signatories can be accessed through the related UNIDO page.
