Prof. Dr. Burcu Saner Okan, member of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Sabancı University and co-founder and CTO of Euronova, won the Second Place Certificate of Achievement in the pitching competition held as part of the I2DM Summit 2025, hosted by Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi.
This achievement demonstrates that Dr. Okan and Euronova's innovative approaches to sustainable advanced materials, nanoengineering, and circular thermoplastic composites are recognized internationally.
The extensive collaboration with Khalifa University's Research & Innovation Center for Graphene and 2D Materials (RIC2D) made a significant impact on this success. Collaboration with the RIC2D team has both strengthened scientific output and increased the practical impact of innovations in the field of sustainable materials.
Dr. Saner Okan also delivered a keynote speech entitled "Sustainable Nanoengineering for Next-Generation Circular Thermoplastic Composites" at the event, sharing her research and vision for future material technologies.
This achievement was a significant step that further strengthened Sabancı University's international visibility and influence in the field of sustainable materials and advanced composite technologies.
