According to the QS Europe University Rankings 2026 results published by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), Sabancı University rose to 148th place among 958 universities. Marking a remarkable 40-place increase compared to last year, Sabancı University significantly strengthened its position among European universities and further enhanced its international visibility.

Ranked 4th among the 103 universities included in the ranking across Türkiye, Sabancı University once again confirmed its strong position among Türkiye's leading research universities on a European scale.
Outstanding Performance in Research, Employability, and Internationalization
According to the QS European University Rankings, a UK-based higher education ranking and consultancy organization, Sabancı University demonstrated a strong performance in various fields. Ranked 191st in Europe in the academic reputation indicator and 61st in the employer reputation indicator, Sabancı University also demonstrated remarkable performance in indicators reflecting research impact.
In the citations/publications category, Sabancı University recorded a strong rise of 52 places compared to last year, reaching 76th place. The fact that Sabancı University ranks first not only among its counterparts in Türkiye but also among its peers in Europe, particularly in terms of number of citations/publications, is a strong confirmation of the university's success in research quality.
Sabancı University Makes a Remarkable Leap in International Mobility
Sabancı University has made a very strong leap in the QS Europe University Rankings 2026 in the field of student mobility and internationalization. The university rose to 87th place in the incoming exchange students category, achieving a remarkable progress of 161 places. This result strongly demonstrates Sabancı University's capacity to attract international students across Europe and its integration with global academic networks.
In the outgoing exchange students category, Sabancı University ranked 44th, once again showing its strong position in providing its students with access to international academic experiences.
Strong Rise in Sustainability
Sabancı University also showed a remarkable rise in the field of sustainability in the QS Europe University Rankings 2026. The university has risen to 199th place in Europe in the sustainability indicator, marking a strong improvement of 90 places in this area.
This result demonstrates that Sabancı University's institutional policies in environmental, social and governance areas, sustainable campus practices, and social impact-focused studies are becoming increasingly visible on a European scale.
