The results of the 2025 call for proposals for the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA PF) Programme under the Horizon Europe Programme have been announced. The project ‘AIMLA’, to be coordinated by Sabancı University, has been awarded funding by the European Commission for 24 months.
Furthermore, 12 projects submitted under the coordination of Sabancı University were found deserving of the Seal of Excellence Certificate.
Researcher Dr. Muhammad Rehan is the principal investigator and our faculty member Prof. Dr. Erhan Budak is the advisor of the project titled “High-Fidelity Fabrication of HAR Microlens Arrays via Adaptive Toolpaths, Intelligent Feedback, and Elliptical Vibration Cutting (AIMLA)”, which will be conducted for 24 months at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of Sabancı University.
The ‘AIMLA’ project, one of the eight projects from Türkiye that qualified for support, aims to develop an innovative approach that combines advanced manufacturing techniques with artificial intelligence-supported analysis methods to enable more precise, error-free, and efficient production of microlens arrays used in next-generation optical systems. The project will also involve collaborative work with Nagoya University in Japan.
Over 17,000 Applications Received
With over 17,000 applications worldwide for the 2025 call and a funding rate of less than 10%, the highly competitive Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action Postdoctoral Fellowships aim to develop the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a doctoral degree who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training and international, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral mobility.
