Suzanne Lacy: Birlikte/Togæther, an exhibition by American artist and educator Suzanne Lacy, presented at Sakıp Sabancı Museum with the support of the Sabancı Foundation, has been extended until March 8, 2026.

As one of the pioneers of feminist art and of participatory, community-oriented performance, this first comprehensive exhibition in Turkey examines Lacy’s practice, which centers on issues such as identity, freedom, aging, economic inequalities, and violence in society, through video installations and documentary materials. The exhibition brings into the museum space the emotional memory of the large-scale performances the artist has realized with volunteers from different generations and invites visitors to reflect on questions that focus on the intersections between art and life.

Starting in December, free guided tours will offer visitors the opportunity to engage more deeply with Suzanne Lacy’s artistic practice, developed over more than fifty years. Led by Berrak Güloğlu, Research Assistant at Sabancı University’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the tours will be open to all visitors who wish to learn more about Suzanne Lacy’s practice and her approach centered on collective production. The guided tours will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4; Saturday, December 13; Thursday, January 15; Saturday, January 31; Thursday, February 5; Saturday, February 21; and Sunday, March 8.

SSM’s long-standing Neighbor Day program will likewise be held free of charge on Saturday, December 13 and Saturday, February 21. On these dates, visitors will be able to visit the museum free of charge and join the guided exhibition tour at 2:00 p.m.

Focusing on women’s voices, experiences, and solidarity, Suzanne Lacy: Birlikte/Togæther will conclude on March 8, 2026, International Women’s Day.
