A project led by Dr. Tandaç Fürkan Güçlü, a researcher at Sabancı University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 3501 Career Development Program.
The project will examine the KRAS protein and its mutations, which play a critical role in cancer formation, in detail using computational physics and chemistry methods. The research will use advanced simulation techniques such as molecular dynamics simulations and free energy calculations to elucidate the relationship between the KRAS protein and its binding partners, and its connection to cancer. This study aims to achieve significant scientific results at the intersection of life sciences, physics, and chemistry.
