Campus Hacking Project was carried out in cooperation with Sabancı University Civic Involvement Projects and the Fixers Club, which develops social benefit projects in order to strengthen the dialogue between the city, the environment and people and to increase the belonging of people to the places where they live, and was selected as "Changemaker" in the 12th Season of the Sabancı Foundation Changemakers Program.
Within the scope of this project, a process consisting of campus discovery, idea development, design and implementation steps was designed. The 40 students who took the project chose the areas on the campus that they wanted to regenerate and repair.
The implementation phase of the project was carried out on May 24, 2023. In this context, sitting units were placed in the poolside in the cafe district and the floor painting was done by the students. A graffiti designed by artists was painted by students on Sokak 18 in the dormitories district. Old distance signs on the walking track were removed and replaced with 3D distance signs produced by Collaboration-Space. The students regenerated the campus, which is their living space, according to their needs with the new seating groups. They also repaired one of the worn spots of the campus with the new distance signs.
We would like to thank the Fixers Club, with whom we implemented the Campus Hacking Project, and Collaboration-Space for supporting this project.
