A festschrift in memory of Prof. Dr. Fuat Keyman, founding director of the Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) at Sabancı University and a prominent scholar in the fields of international relations and political science, has been published by Koç University Press. A Multidimensional Look at Fuat Keyman’s Intellectual Legacy
Throughout his academic career, spent at Middle East Technical University (METU), Bilkent University, Koç University, and Sabancı University, Fuat Keyman made significant contributions to the social sciences in Türkiye across a wide range of fields, including international relations, democracy, civil society, urban studies, coexistence, and sustainability.
Beyond his own scholarly output, Keyman was distinguished by his ability to bring together researchers from different generations, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and public discourse. He played a pivotal role in the development of think tanks in Türkiye and in strengthening the relationship between academia and society.
This commemorative volume revisits key themes central to Fuat Keyman’s body of work, foreign policy, democracy, cities, and coexistence, in light of contemporary debates. The contributions gathered in the book expand upon the conceptual and theoretical frameworks he developed, offering new insights into the ongoing transformation of Türkiye.
