The ITU Science Award in the Field of Engineering was Presented to Ali Koşar, Faculty Member at Sabancı University

The 2025 Awards of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) were presented by Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal during the award ceremony held on May 12, 2026, on the ITU Ayazağa Campus. Ali Koşar, a faculty member of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Sabancı University and a researcher at SUNUM and EFSUN centers, received the ITU Science Award in the Field of Engineering. 

This award is presented to living scientists who have made internationally significant contributions to science through their work conducted in Türkiye. Ali Koşar was deemed worthy of this award for his pioneering studies and contributions in next-generation microfluidic systems, phase-change phenomena on functional surfaces, and micro heat sinks.
