"Human Library: The Books That Read" event, organized to create an environment of dialogue between the books that have previously participated in the Human Library event organized by Civic Involvement Projects, took place on July 3, 2024 at Sabancı University Altunizade Digital Campus. Gay mother, gay father, albino, search and rescue, cerebral palsy, tiny human and oncology mother participated in the event.
The books shared their thoughts about the event as follows:
"It was a really enjoyable and productive day for us. Because until today, we were chatting with students and guests and telling only about ourselves, we did not have the opportunity to listen to other books, but today that happened. I learned a lot of new things, so I am happy. I also explained myself to the books and that was good too.” (Gay mother)
"Today was really a very instructive day for me. I learned a lot about a lot of things I never knew about. I feel like I have improved myself a bit more." (Gay father)
"I was very happy to be with other books today. I had the opportunity to learn how they look at the world from their perspective, their problems and how they see life." (Search and rescue)
"I am really proud that my experiences and events that will make a difference are heard and read by people. I hope I was able to contribute a little bit to the awareness level of other books." (Albino)
