A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at developing joint education and research activities between Sabancı University and the National Institute for Research and Development of Isotopic and Molecular Technologies of Romania (INCDTIM) was signed on June 8th at a ceremony.

The signing ceremony, attended by Sabancı University President Yusuf Leblebici and INCDTIM Director Dr. Claudiu Filip, aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of education and research. The agreement is expected to contribute to the development of joint academic studies, the increase of research projects, and the strengthening of international scientific collaborations.
Following the signing ceremony, a campus tour was conducted for the Romanian delegation by Prof. Dr. Emre Erdem, a faculty member of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Sabancı University. The delegation then visited the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Erkay Savaş, to exchange views on potential areas of cooperation.

During the visit, Dr. Arpad Mihai Rostas, a researcher from INCDTIM, gave a presentation introducing the institute's research activities, infrastructure, and scientific priorities. Later, , the delegation visited the Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM) and met with the Director of SUNUM, Prof. Dr. Alpagut Kara. During the meetings, potential joint research opportunities between the two institutions were evaluated, and the delegation received comprehensive information about SUNUM's advanced research infrastructure and laboratories.
Throughout the visit, the Romanian delegation had the opportunity to closely examine Sabancı University's research infrastructure and scientific facilities, while the parties evaluated possibilities for cooperation in future joint research projects, student and researcher exchange programs, and international funding applications.
