5th BioMEMS and Microfluidic Technologies Workshop Held at SUNUM

The 5th BioMEMS and Microfluidic Technologies Workshop was held on June 11-12, 2026 at Sabanci University Nanotechnology and Applications Center (SUNUM) in Istanbul.  This conference was a focused scientific meeting bringing together researchers working at the intersection of biosensors, MEMS/NEMS, microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip systems, and translational biomedical technologies.

Sabancı University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Faculty Member, EFSUN and SUNUM researcher Ali Koşar and Hüseyin Cumhur Tekin from Izmir Technical University were the co-chairs, while Ozlem Yeşil Çeliktaş from Ege University, Ender Yıldırım and Haluk Külah from METU MEMS and Metin Muradoğlu from Koç University were the vice-chairs. Gül Kozalak, Melis Hazal Porsuk, Ilayda Çelik, Ismail Bütün, Mustafa Uluşan and Sadık Koç were the local organizing committeee members. This event was sponsored by SUNUM-Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center, EFSUN, Sabancı Üniversitesi, and Beespenser. 

This event started with the opening speech of the Sabancı University President Yusuf Leblebici. Prominent scientists in the field were invited speakers and delivered inspiring talks. A rich scientific program was presented to the attendees as well as a rich social program.
