Sabancı University has launched a new “Regular Giving” based initiative to provide sustainable support for students in need. In addition to one-time donations, students’ educational journeys are now supported through regular contributions.

Dr. Asma Hedi Nairi, a visiting professor at Sabancı Business School, has been selected for the 2025-2026 Mellon/SAR Academic Freedom Fellowship program, receiving a significant international award.

The “AquaClear: Advanced Cavitation for PFAS Treatment and Circular Water” project, led by Sabancı University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (MDBF) and EFSUN researchers Prof. Dr. Ali Koşar and Dr. Morteza Ghorbani, has been awarded funding under the Horizon Europe Water4all 3rd Call.

The INNO4GRID project, coordinated by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and involving Sabancı University as one of its 37 partners, has been selected for funding under the HORIZON-CL5-2025-02-D3-17 call.

TechxUM directly contributes to EIT Urban Mobility’s vision of creating more liveable urban spaces by addressing a critical skills and knowledge gap in the digitalisation of urban mobility systems.

Sabancı University Foundations Development Directorate hosted Prof. Andrew Berry from Harvard University for a University Courses (UC) Talk on December 17, 2025, titled “Humans: greatest evolutionary force in history?”. The talk brought together Sabancı University students and faculty as well as student groups from Koç and TEVİTÖL high schools to reflect on the far-reaching impact of human activity on the evolution of other species.

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ziya Menceloğlu, a faculty member at Sabancı University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, won the Elginkan Foundation 2025 Technology Award for his work titled "Development of Biodegradable Superabsorbent Polymers and Their Transformation into Nanotern™ Product."

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Leblebici, Rector of Sabancı University, paid a visit to Mr. Zekeriya Coştu, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, at his office. During the meeting, current and potential areas of collaboration aimed at strengthening university–industry cooperation were discussed, with an exchange of views on joint projects particularly focused on research, innovation, and technology development.

Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) is now accepting paper proposals for the one-day workshop “Ideas and Intellectuals: Alternative Histories of Turkish Foreign Policy,” to be held on June 2, 2026, from 9:00 to 17:00 at IPC Karaköy.

Sabancı Business School has opened the Behavioral Lab, which will add an innovative dimension to research and learning processes. The new laboratory aims to provide a significant infrastructure for students and academics in the field of behavioral research.
