The Summer School edition of the Purple Certificate Program, which has been carried out under the umbrella of SU Gender with the support of the Sabancı Foundation for 17 years, marked the beginning of the 2024-2025 period with a session held August 19-22 on Sabancı University's Tuzla Campus. 285 teachers and teacher candidates from all regions of Turkey and various cities applied to the summer school. Within the scope of the Purple Certificate Summer School, which was held with the participation of 45 teachers and teacher candidates from various levels and branches coming from 23 cities, together with 14 faculty members/experts, training sessions aimed at increasing gender awareness were provided in the fields of science, literature, ecology, philosophy, children's rights, health, communication and conflict resolution, and many other subjects. In addition to theoretical sessions, teachers and teacher candidates had the opportunity to share experiences and engage in joint production activities in the interactive workshops organized.
