Research Support for Our Faculty Members by the US Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR)

The project, co-directed by our Materials Science and Nanoengineering Department faculty members Gözde İnce and Ongun Özçelik, has been awarded support by the US Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR).

The project, which will be carried out for three years in the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, aims to conduct advanced research on the surface charging mechanisms of dielectric materials and to achieve significant developments in the usability of these materials in different space environments. Thanks to the project outputs, new applications in the field of space and aviation will be possible.
