CanAkkan

Started in 1995 by INSEAD and WHU-Otto Beisheim Business Schools, this award is granted as a result of a competition closely monitored by the business world press, including Financial Times. Over the years, there have been various articles published in the Harvard Business Review based on the results of this competition.

This competition offers the following significant benefits to participating companies:

  • Direct feedback for all finalists in the form of a detailed, customized report on how they can improve their operational performance.
  • For the winning company of the country, participation in the annual conference and awards ceremony organized by one of the partner universities, where they have the opportunity to network with other winning companies and leading academics in the field and share best practices.
  • Global visibility and recognition gained through social media posts and online news clips published in industry media.
  • Branding processes support for both employees and customers.
  • Additional value-added work such as research and case study writing following the competition, which can be used to attract new talent and for in-house training activities.

SBS faculty member Can Akkan, the faculty director of the European Industry Excellence Award in Turkey, invites our graduates to examine the award’s web page, evaluate its benefits for the companies they work for, and contact him for questions (can.akkan@sabanciuniv.edu).
