Sabancı University and İEÜ Medical Point Join Forces to Advance Healthcare Technologies

Sabancı University and İEÜ Medical Point Hospital have signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement aimed at advancing innovative healthcare technologies and strengthening scientific research. The agreement will support joint projects in a range of fields, including biotechnology, biomedical technologies, artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital health applications, and clinical research.

 

 

The partnership brings together İEÜ Medical Point’s strong clinical expertise and Sabancı University’s academic and technological capabilities, with the aim of developing innovative healthcare solutions, supporting research, and contributing to the development of highly qualified talent in the healthcare sector.

Veysi Kubba, Chairman of the Board and CEO of İEÜ Medical Point Hospital, emphasized the rapid transformation of healthcare driven by technology and artificial intelligence.

“Technology and artificial intelligence will play an increasingly decisive role in healthcare. This agreement with Sabancı University marks an important step toward a new era in which technology will complement traditional approaches to healthcare and enable more preventive and personalized solutions. By combining our clinical experience with academic expertise, we aim to develop projects that create value not only in Türkiye but also internationally,” said Kubba.

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Leblebici, President of Sabancı University, highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare technologies, noting the University’s research capabilities in medical electronics, Physical AI, medical sensors, intelligent healthcare systems, and advanced microelectronics.

“The healthcare solutions of the future will emerge at the intersection of electronics, artificial intelligence, data science, and life sciences. Through this partnership, we aim to combine Sabancı University’s technological capabilities with İEÜ Medical Point’s strong clinical expertise and translate innovative technologies into tangible solutions that improve patients’ quality of life,” said Leblebici.
