Sabancı University once again the top Turkish institution among Asia's best universities

Sabancı University ranked 68th on the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings.

The Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2021 results have been announced. Sabancı University ranked 68th among all 551 universities on the list, and had the highest position among 43 Turkish universities included in the rankings. As in previous years, Sabancı University maintained its top position among Turkish universities. 

Similar to the World Universities Ranking, the Asia University Rankings consider 13 different performance indicators. The performance indicators are grouped in 5 areas, namely teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation); international outlook (staff, students and research); citations (research influence); industry income (knowledge transfer). 

The other Turkish universities on the Asian University Rankings and their positions are: Koç University 73rd, Çankaya University 80th, Hacettepe University 125th, Bilkent University 129th, ITU 163rd, and Boğaziçi University 167th.

The top three Asian universities are Tsinghua University, Peking University (both in China), and The National University of Singapore.
