Sakıp Sabancı Center for Turkish Studies at Columbia University will hold Sakıp Sabancı Lecture on “Antiquities, Museums, Empires” on Friday, April 22, 2022.

Zeynep Çelik, Sakıp Sabancı Visiting Professor at the Sakıp Sabancı Center for Turkish Studies at Columbia University, will deliver the keynote speech at the lecture, which will be delivered by Timothy Mitchell, William B Ransford Professor of Middle Eastern Studies at Columbia University.

Being the first Sakıp Sabancı Visiting Professor at the Sakıp Sabancı Center for Turkish Studies at Columbia University, Zeynep Çelik has a deep expertise and unique historical perspective on the architecture and urbanisation of the region.
