As part of the Golden Compass Türkiye Public Relations Awards, Sabancı University was recognized in the "Best and Creative Practices" category for its "Sakıp Sabancı International Research Awards and 20th Anniversary Commemoration Project," held in 2024.

Sabancı University was recognized by the Golden Compass Türkiye Public Relations Awards, the first and most prestigious awards program in the public relations sector in Türkiye. The "Sakıp Sabancı International Research Awards and 20th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony Project" won the Golden Compass in the "Best and Creative Practices" category. Established according to the will of Sabancı University Honorary Chair Sakıp Sabancı, the "Sakıp Sabancı International Research Awards," Türkiye's first international awards program in the field of social sciences, have been held annually since 2006.
Artificial intelligence brought Sakıp Sabancı's vision to the modern world.
In 2024, the late Sakıp Sabancı, Honorary Chair of Sabancı University, was commemorated with a special ceremony on the 20th anniversary of his passing as part of the Sakıp Sabancı International Research Awards. At the Sakıp Sabancı International Research Awards and 20th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony, Sakıp Sabancı's life and values were recounted with special 20th-anniversary commemorative content. The Vision of Sakıp Sabancı project, developed for the 2024 Sakıp Sabancı International Research Awards and 20th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony, became a first in Türkiye and one of the few examples in the world as an innovative application of artificial intelligence in the fields of legacy transfer from the past to the present and data utilization. As part of the project, artificial intelligence brought Sakıp Sabancı's thoughts and vision to the modern world, interacting with him in a digital environment.
The most successful projects of 2024 were recognized at the 23rd Golden Compass Türkiye Public Relations Awards, organized by the Turkish Public Relations Association (TUHID), a body with over 53 years of experience in the communications sector. This year, over 300 organizations and young communicators submitted projects to the awards program across 40 categories, including 20 main and 21 subcategories.
