Sabancı University SuTrong Club represented the university at the 11th Turkish Powerlifting Championship, held between February 1 and 5. The team finished the championship with 2 gold and 2 bronze medals.
The athletes' achievements are as follows:
- Başar Zaim — -93 kg Open
Squat category / 1st place (Gold Medal) - Can Onat Yaren — +120 kg Open
Deadlift category / 3rd place (Bronze Medal) - Cihan Arlı — -120 kg Open
Deadlift category / 1st place (Gold Medal)
Total category / 3rd place (Bronze Medal)
SuTrong Club was founded approximately three years ago under the leadership of Can Tartan and Cihan Arlı. During its establishment, the club focused on improving the infrastructure of the Sabancı University sports center and acquiring equipment suitable for competition preparations. Training began approximately 18 months ago with a team of six.
This year, the club members once again successfully represented Sabancı University at the annual Turkish Powerlifting Championship. We wish the team continued success.
