Sabancı University and Venice International University to Host Advanced Wireless Technologies Seminar Series

A seminar series titled “Advanced Wireless Technologies for Enhancing the Radio Interface from 5G towards 6G” will be held in collaboration with the Sabancı University and Venice International University Consortium on September 7-11, 2026. Master's and PhD students and young researchers in Electrical-Electronics Engineering and Computer Science can apply to the seminar until May 4, 2026. 

Through its collaboration with Venice International University (VIU), Sabancı University offers an international knowledge and experience sharing platform for students, researchers, and academics. Within this framework, a seminar series titled “Advanced Wireless Technologies for Enhancing the Radio Interface from 5G towards 6G” will be held at Venice International University from September 7 to 11, 2026.

The scientific coordinator of the seminars is İbrahim Tekin, a faculty member at Sabancı University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. Our faculty members Özgür Gürbüz and Korkut Kaan Tokgöz, as well as Michele Zorzi and Marco Giordani from the University of Padova, Sofie Pollini from KU Leuven, and Francesco Luzzini from the Università del Piemonte Orientale will be participating in the seminars.

Graduate students who have recently begun their MS and PhD studies and wish to apply for the "Advanced Wireless Technologies for Enhancing the Radio Interface from 5G towards 6G" seminar series, which will address key enabler technologies for next-generation wireless systems from the perspectives of antennas, communication, and hardware, can apply through the website until May 4, 2026.
