EFSUN Research Center brought the latest developments in spectroscopic characterization of material surfaces and interfaces to the agenda with the 1st International Workshop on Advanced Spectroscopy for Surfaces and Interfaces held on April 30, 2024.
The workshop started with the opening speech of EFSUN co-director and FENS faculty member Ali Koşar, and continued with the presentation of Dr. Arpad Rostas from ITIM, Romania. Other speakers participating in the workshop, Emre Erdem, Ahmet Güngör, Eminenur Sarıtaş, Mohamad Aleinawi, and Yiğit Küçük, a high school student from Robert College, presented perspectives on the characterization of material surfaces. After the successful speeches, practical training was held in the spectroscopy laboratory in the afternoon. Participants had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding by transforming their theoretical knowledge into practical applications. The training sessions were of great importance for young participants who follow the latest developments in the field of spectroscopy and want to continuously improve themselves.
This event organized by EFSUN Research Center motivated the participants by emphasizing the importance of exchanging knowledge and experience. It was recorded as an important step for similar events to be carried forward in the future and to support scientific developments. At the end of the workshop, the participants were given a participation certificate.
