In Sabancı University’s 25th year, an information meeting was held for the “Alumni Circle” project to be implemented within the scope of the “Make a Promise for the Future Scholarship Program” so that a higher number of successful students in need of financial support can benefit from unique and innovative education opportunities.
Our Secretary General Ali Çalışkan, Institutional Partnerships and Alumni Relations Director Cenk Efe Bayırlı, Fundraising Leader Zeliha Algül, Alumni Relations Leader Cansu Karabağlı, and many alumni attended the information meeting held on Altunizade Digital Campus.
Cenk Efe Bayırlı, who spoke first at the “Alumni Circle” event, a new and collective support network, stated that we have 17,500 alumni and that we can now reach over 90% of them. Bayırlı also emphasized that 32% their alumni hold very good roles abroad, and added that they will continue to strengthen communication with alumni through alumni meetings held every year.
Ali Çalışkan, who delivered the opening speech of the event, stated that our alumni are ambassadors of our University. Ali Çalışkan continued, “You are actually the people who represent us in the business world and in every environment in the outside world. Therefore, I believe that we should be in cooperation and warm relations in every field.”
Çalışkan, who mentioned that we have contacted many of our graduates, said, “We have started our “Make a Promise for the Future Scholarship Program” in 2022 by providing scholarships to 11 students since the first year of entry, by covering their education, accommodation, food, and monthly cash needs during their normal education period. Your presence here, your support for the university, and your cooperation are truly valuable. I would like to thank each and every one of you for your participation and support.”
Following the opening speech, Alumni Relations Leader Cansu Karabağlı took the floor and gave information about the work and projects carried out by the Alumni Office.
The final presentation of the event was made by Fundraising Leader Zeliha Algül. In her presentation, Algül revealed the level that the Make a Promise for the Future Scholarship Fund has reached since its first year. She also provided the details of the “Alumni Circle” project and took the first step of this meaningful journey together by developing ideas in an interactive manner with the participation of alumni.
